For parents, caregivers or friends of challenging teenagers
The parent support group was formed in March 2005. Members meet fortnightly on Mondays at 10 am and the group is open to parents residing in the Bellingen and Nambucca Shires who are experiencing difficulties with their teen(s).
Meetings kick off with tea, coffee and morning tea, followed by individual debriefing and collective brainstorming for action strategies. The meetings also include some time for guest speakers and workshops. Parents also have access to a lending library and Reconnect and Family Support Service staff.
So, if you are trying to deal with a challenging teen, and need to talk to other people in the same boat, for support, for encouragement, or just to know you are not alone, why not come along and meet with others trying to survive this roller coaster ride.
